What is Redefining with Jesus, and who is the founder ?
Hi, Friend — and Welcome to Redefining with Jesus!
My name is Jen Vega. I’m a daughter, a wife, and a mama to four beautiful children. Most importantly, I’m a woman being transformed daily by the love and truth of Jesus Christ.
You might be wondering, “What exactly is Redefining with Jesus?”
Let's start here: The world is loud—full of opinions, definitions, and expectations that try to shape who we are and how we see ourselves. Over time, those voices can distort our understanding of love, freedom, purpose, and identity. But Jesus offers a better way. A truer way. His voice speaks healing, hope, and life.
Redefining with Jesus has been my personal journey of learning to see everything through His lens—allowing Him to redefine who I am and who I’m becoming, one day at a time. It’s a journey of surrender, of trusting His heart, and of walking closely with Him through the highs, the valleys, and every ordinary moment in between.
The Journey:
What began as a deeply personal transformation has grown into a calling, I couldn’t keep to myself.
Since 2021, I’ve felt the Lord stirring my heart to share this journey—however He leads. That calling has taken shape through women’s and youth small groups, Bible studies, serving in my local church, and eventually, the launch of Redefining with Jesus as a small business in April 2022—an overflow of the ministry He’s entrusted to me. And now, what a blessing it is to also offer Christian Coaching—a space to come alongside others in their walk with Jesus, helping them rediscover who they are in Him and experience His freedom, grace, and truth in everyday life.
Our Faith Statement:
At Redefining with Jesus, we stand firmly on the truth that Jesus came to heal, restore, and set captives free (Isaiah 61). This ministry was birthed out of the discipleship that started at our home Church - East Coast Believers Church where we learned to Go. Grow. Give. And through the culture of Unpacking with Jesus Ministry and Ministry School, where we have been discipled, counseled, equipped, trained and spiritually activated to walk out the fullness of our calling.
From that foundation, our mission is simple: to help people encounter the transforming love of Jesus, redefine their lives through His truth, and walk in the freedom He paid for.
Jesus Is the Source of Life:
We believe Jesus is the True Vine (John 15), and apart from Him, we can do nothing of lasting value. Our life, identity, purpose, and fruitfulness flow only from abiding in Him. Everything we offer in this ministry—every conversation, prayer, teaching, and resource—is rooted in staying connected to Him.
The Grace Gospel:
We believe the Gospel is good news—unearned, undeserved grace poured out through the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ. We are saved by grace, sustained by grace, and called by grace. It is His kindness that leads us into transformation, never striving, shame, or religious pressure.
The Finished Work of the Cross:
We believe that on the cross, Jesus paid for full redemption—spirit, soul, and body.
Through His sacrifice, He made available to us:
- Forgiveness and righteousness
- Healing and restoration
- Freedom from bondage and shame
- Peace that guards our hearts and minds
- The indwelling Holy Spirit who empowers, teaches, and guides us
- A new identity as sons and daughters of God
- We believe nothing needs to be added to what Jesus accomplished; our call is simply to receive, remain, and respond.
Freedom for Every Believer
As declared in Isaiah 61, we believe Jesus came to:
- Proclaim good news to the poor
- Bind up the brokenhearted
- Set captives free
- Open prison doors
- Exchange ashes for beauty
- Give joy instead of mourning
- Cover us with a garment of praise
- Plant us as oaks of righteousness
This is not symbolic—it is the promise and provision of Christ. Freedom is our portion because freedom is what He purchased.
Walking Out Our Calling -
This ministry exists to help people experience Jesus personally, redefine their stories through His truth, and walk in the fullness of the Gospel. We believe discipleship is not about perfection but about abiding, learning, and becoming more like Him day by day. Our heart is to create safe, grace-filled spaces where people can grow, heal, and discover who they are in Christ—with the help of the Holy Spirit, the Word of God, and a loving, supportive community of faith.
Why We Do What We Do:
Redefining with Jesus is more than a ministry—it’s a response to what Jesus has done in us.
We believe:
- People don’t need performance—they need to know who they are in Jesus.
- Transformation flows from relationship, not behavior modification.
- When people know who they are in Christ, they walk differently.
- Every believer has God-given purpose, calling, and destiny.
What's the Mission ?
Our desire is to simply partner with the Holy Spirit in helping people see—and step into—what Jesus has already made available. His mission is our mission.
We offer Holy Spirit–led tools, resources, and Coaching Sessions, that inspire, encourage, and point you back to Him—every single time.
Our prayer is that you’ll be drawn deeper into His Word and into intimacy with Him.
